Deviation, Voilah
Original and surprising, Déviation is a performance group from France which uses rhythms, choreo- graphed movement and percussion as a universal language, and at the same time tells humorous stories. Formed in 1991, the group has performed all over the world and now brings their largest show to Esplanade this May, held in conjunction with the Singapore Arts Festival.
Deballage Public
A mysterious giant box sits outside the Esplanade undisturbed, but when night falls it opens to unveil its hidden secrets and surprises. A contem- porary instrumental sculpture, Déballage Public is a giant crate which opens like a flower to unveil a massive stage of unusual percussion instruments and four enigmatic characters who control this living sculpture. It’s been called the musical trojan horse of the 21st century. Get ready for an adventure of rhythms, reinvented sounds and a big surprise!
Murmurant
Be amazed by a mobile wall of drums 6.5 meters long and three meters high! Come follow the structure as it moves through the Esplanade waterfront. Each performance is one of a-kind as six playful musicians will involve you to be part of the show and participate in their mischief! A perfect outing for children and families!
